Where matters are delayed
Most delay originates in documentation. Foreign instruments generally require apostille certification and official translation, and the issuing authority in the client’s home jurisdiction is frequently the slowest element of the process. That is the part to begin first.
After submission, processing times vary by category and by district office. We will give you a realistic assessment for your circumstances rather than an optimistic one.
Renewal dates deserve the same attention as the original application. A lapsed permit is materially harder to resolve than a renewed one.
Nationality determines the framework
EU and EEA nationals register their residence. All other nationals apply under the third country framework, which carries different conditions and documentation. British citizens have fallen within that second category since the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union, which continues to surprise clients who acquired property in Cyprus before then.

Is representation required?
Not as a matter of law. It is most valuable where there is a corporate structure, property, dependants or an earlier refusal involved.
Can my family join me?
Generally, through family reunification, subject to the conditions attaching to your own permit category. It is better addressed at the outset than retrospectively.
Do you act for clients still abroad?
Yes. Most of our relocation clients instruct us before arriving in Cyprus.
